April marks Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) in the U.S. During SAAM, activists raise awareness about sexual violence and educate communities and individuals on how to prevent it.
The 2016 Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) campaign by the National Sexual Violence Resource Center focuses on how prevention is possible when we all come together. Visit www.nsvrc.org to learn how you can promote a healthy foundation for relationships, health and sexual violence prevention.
Throughout the month of April, the WCA will be sharing additional information about sexual assault, healthy sexuality, and sexual assault prevention for different age groups, populations, and communities.
The WCA will also be participating in Denim Day this year– a global campaign to bring awareness to sexual assault victims and the dangers of victim blaming. Find out how you can get involved in Denim Day here.
