Not only did families attend the event, and we were fortunate to have some great volunteers on hand to share their expertise. Tobey Jinkins staffed the check-in table and welcomed participants Children attending the event could make a bookmark, design a bank, or play computer and board games that taught necessary math and financial literacy skills. Those were staffed by volunteers from Women United (Jeanette Hood, Amelia Keily, and Tabbi Simenc), Jaeda Reed from Kuna High School, and Emily Lake.

12108841_10153085621685588_1153899295270277790_nAdults also had a multitude of tables with different topics related to financial literacy that they could stop by and speak with volunteers. There was a FTC and Debt Reduction materials table run by Ann Lewis. Karen Flynn from Idaho Power staffed the budgeting table while Evelyn Johnson was at the couponing table. A credit table was available and run by Lisa Li from CITI along with her husband.  Attendees could visit Lauren Moore from Bank of the Cascades and Jessica Burke from U.S. Bank at the savings table. Volunteers from Bank of the Cascades also helped run the consumer loans table (Tracy Hoffman and Judy Hall). An insurance table was available to visit and had Eileen Mundorff from Idaho Department of Insurance there to speak. Ashlee Hanover from Idaho Central Credit Union for volunteered at the retirement and real-estate table. Finally, Lonny Tutko from the Attorney General’s Office answered any questions at the Consumer Protection table.

Thank you to all our amazing volunteers and those who came out in support of the event!
