What do you do in your job at the WCA?

I am part of the administrative team. I support the front desk: welcome clients in and serve as a backup for front desk duties.  I also help Linda Davidson, WCA HR Manager, with HR projects : employee events, employee newsletter, and other HR administrative duties.

How long have you been with the WCA?

My first day was July 5, 2016

Where did you work prior to joining the WCA team?

Before coming to the WCA I worked for ProTeam,  a manufacturing company as a customer service representative.

What do you find most rewarding about your work at the WCA?

The most rewarding part about working at the WCA is knowing you are making a difference in someone’s life. That every day you spent at work has a purpose that is beyond your own needs. I enjoy learning about everyone’s role at the WCA, and how all this could not be possible without the work of every employee and volunteer.

How have you changed or grown as a person through your work here?

In the few weeks that I have been at the WCA, I’ve become more aware of the little things we can do to help others: both at work and in our everyday life.  A kind gesture can go a very long way and make someone’s day.

Is there a memorable moment or story that you’d like to share that you have experienced at the WCA?

I especially like seeing all the support we receive from our community.  The donations that come in every day.  One in particular that is dear to my heart is a donation we receive every Friday from an anonymous donor.  This donation has come for many Fridays, the story behind it is absolutely  inspiring!
