AXO 05.04.18Raising a whopping $13,380, the Alpha Chi Omega sorority at Boise State CONQUERED their WCA fundraisers this year! Their annual Mr. Alpha Chi pageant was a huge success, boasting themes centered on our mission of safety, healing, and freedom. (The winner of the pageant, this year’s Mr. Alpha Chi, is pictured on the right.)

Our Philanthropy Specialist, Megan Wilson, was delighted to start off the night with a short speech to motivate and inform the audience and participants. During the competition, one contestant incorporated our awareness color (purple) into his talent routine—a portion of audience members had purple papers on their seats which demonstrated the astounding number of those in our community affected by domestic abuse and sexual assault. As part of their “formal wear” competition, multiple contestants adorned their outfit with a purple ribbon. During the onstage question, another contestant said he would donate it to the WCA when asked what he would do with a million dollars. Before the fundraisers, AXO members attended our “If These Walls Could Talk” tour. Two even became WCA Ambassadors, organizing a “Tour in a Box” at BSU with over 30 attendees. We are so grateful for the dedication and follow through of our AXO members!
