SueB

On October 7, more than 580 racers joined us in Julia Davis Park for the 9th annual SueB 5K/10K. The event honors Susan “SueB” Newby who died in 2008 during a mysterious horseback riding incident. After her death, family and friends realized that SueB – her nickname – was likely in an abusive marriage. SueB’s sister and friends partner with the WCA each year to honor her life and raise awareness of domestic abuse.

SueB raises more than $20,000 each year to support the WCA’s Endowment Fund. We could not do this year after year without the generosity of our sponsors, vendors and volunteers.

Special thanks to all our spectacular volunteers, Boise Fry, Mission Donut, Dutch Bros., 107.9 Lite FM and Michelle Heart, Clif Hampel, the YMCA and all our incredible sponsors!AKL 2 for SueB 10.8.18
