Well – It’s January again! That means not only a new month, but also a new year. While we can always “start over” on any given day – it seems that there is more of a focus on this as we begin the new year. There is more talk about setting goals, about starting diets, beginning a new exercise regimen, making more time for family and friends – you name it, it is on somebody’s “list”! For many in our community, it is also a time during which they consider making a more courageous and frightening change – one that will take them away from an abusive relationship and to seek our services. This is the time of year when we can really use all the help we can get to ensure that we don’t have to turn away anyone who is ready to “start over” in such a significant way. As you set your goals for 2015, I humbly ask that you consider helping us ensure we are able to continue being here for those individuals. Wishing you and yours a healthy, happy and joyful 2015!
