Every year the Board of Directors, on behalf of the Women’s and Children’s Alliance, presents the Joyce Stein Memorial Award to a special individual in our community.
Joyce was a long-time friend and supporter of the WCA, and she was instrumental in helping establish our Crisis Center for women and children. This award in her memory was established to honor Treasure Valley residents who have made a positive impact on the growth and advancement of women.
This year we are absolutely delighted to honor former Ada County Prosecuting Attorney Greg Bower. Greg has been a leader in criminal justice issues in Idaho for over 40 years. His tireless work to ensure survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and other serious crimes are supported by our courts and legal system is commendable. Greg’s legacy is one of compassion, vision and leadership.
