June is always a special month for me. It marks my anniversary with the WCA – five this year – and is the last month of our fiscal year, so it involves a lot of planning and reflection. Both of these activities serve to deepen my connection to this organization. With every year that passes, I am more grateful for the path that led me here and more certain that I am right where I was always meant to be. I am reminded in a very direct way of the life-changing work our staff performs every day, and how integral all of our services are to creating the pathway to freedom for our clients. It is not one service that we provide, or one relationship that is key – but rather the interrelationship of every component that ensures our clients feel supported and cared for.
