For more than a year, celebrities have been filming PSAs and appearing in ad campaigns that target victim blaming and not taking action when someone is being abused. The national comprehensive NoMore movement is intended to bring together all those who want to put an end domestic abuse and sexual assault.

NoMore.org, with a tagline of “Together we can end domestic violence and sexual assault,” encourages the use of social and digital media and provides tools and resources for such efforts.

During the month of October, the WCA will distribute the “NoMore” flyer that provides space for individuals to add their voice and their reason for saying no more in our community. We will solicit involvement from staff and take the flyers to all outreach opportunities and WCA events. We’ll also make these available to all those hosting fundraising events for the WCA.

Participants will be asked to provide their reason and then take a snap shot of themselves holding the sign or of the sign in some setting that is meaningful to the individual, post and share the image on their social media sites with the hashtags #WCABoise #NoMore #ThisIsBoise and start their post with the phrase “I am joining the WCA in saying #NoMore.”

The hope is to keep the conversation going and to localize it to increase the relevancy of the message to those in our community.
