All are invited to attend.
Participants gain knowledge on the dynamics of domestic and sexual abuse, and the impact of abuse on our families, our friends, and our community. This series is a must for social service professionals, law enforcement personnel, health care workers, teachers... anyone who wants to make a difference.

Dynamics of Sexual Violence
Monday, July 14th, 4pm - 6pm
Presentors: Jennifer Cochern, Clinician Development Coordinator from the WCA; Rhonda Oppelt, Clinician from the WCA
Class Description: Overview of the dynamics and effects of sexual abuse, and legal definitions of sexual crimes. Provides practical information on recognizing and responding to abuse. CEU's pending.
Law Enforcement & Domestic Violence
Monday, July 28th, 4pm - 6pm
Presentors: Tammy Parker, Victim/Witness Coordinator from the Ada County Sheriff's Dept.; TBD, Prosecuting Attorney; TBD, Detective
Class Description: Outlines law enforcement response to domestic violence including emergency response, court proceedings, role of Victim/Witness Coordinators, FACES, and others, and overview of resources for victims of crime. CEU's pending.
Men's Role in Ending Violence
Monday, August 25th, 4pm - 6pm
Thursday, August 28th, 4pm - 6pm
Presentors: Bryan Lyda and Jeff Matsushita from Men Today, Men Tomorrow, an Idaho Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence project.
Class Description: Interactive, exploratory dialogue around the construct of gender roles in society. Provides practical information on recognizing and responding to violence in our community.
