Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) takes place every October. Throughout the month, there are numerous events and activities the WCA and other agencies do to raise awareness about the issue of Domestic Violence. Highlighting the month is the Clothesline Project. Click here to learn more!

Financial Literacy Graduation Ceremony at “Smart Women, Smart Money” Conference

Monday, October 3

DVAM Press Conference put on by the Idaho Coalition Against Sexual & Domestic Violence
Idaho Statehouse steps
10:30 – 11:30 a.m.
FREE to the public!

Speakers will include Bea Black from the WCA, Chief Mike Masterson of Boise PD, Sheriff Dave Johnson of the Idaho Sheriffs Association, Dustin Smith of the Idaho Prosecuting Attorney’s Association, and Sandy Piotrowski of the Idaho Victim Witness Association (and for the Idaho Attorney General’s Office re the Hope Card)

 

Thursday, October 6

“Telling Amy’s Story” film screening & Q & A with Detective Deirdri Fishel from the film
