Master’s level therapists and interns provide individual and group therapy services to adult and child victims of emotional and physical abuse, rape and sexual assault and to survivors with co-occurring disorders (substance use and mental health disorders). Therapy services are offered to both shelter residents and members of the community. Individual services are currently offered in-person or remotely via Zoom. SEXUAL ASSAULT (CIRCLE OF SUPPORT) ORIENTATION
Orientation is an educational group that focuses on the act of sexual assault – how to help and how to heal. It is held every Tuesday night, 5 to 5:30 p.m. and is required of all first-time participants in Circle of Support group.
CIRCLE OF SUPPORT GROUP
Circle of Support is a weekly support group for female-identified survivors of sexual assault. It meets Tuesdays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. First-time participants must attend Sexual Assault Orientation (5 to 5:30 p.m.) before attending COS. This group is offered free and is supported by grants.
DOMESTIC ABUSE (RAP) ORIENTATION
Orientation is an educational group that focuses on the cycle of abuse and the characteristics of batterers, victims, and abusive relationships. It is held every Wednesday night, 5 to 5:30 p.m. and is required of all first time participants in RAP.
RAP is a weekly support group for female-identified survivors of domestic abuse. It meets Wednesdays 5:30 to 7 p.m. First-time participants must attend Domestic Abuse Orientation (5 to 5:30 p.m.) before attending RAP. This group is offered free and is supported by grants.
Trauma-Sensitive Yoga is open to any survivor of DV or SA (all genders) and is available to both community and residential clients. It is held Thursdays from noon to 1 p.m. (via Zoom).
Holistic Healing is an art/activity-based support group. It is offered Wednesdays from 11am to 12 p.m. in person at LH to residential clients only.
Rainbow Connection is a support group for LGBTQ+ identified survivors of DV or SA. Rainbow Connection is offered in partnership with The Community Center on the first and third Thursdays of the month from 5:30 to 7 p.m. (via Zoom).
