Alpha Chi Omega and Alpha Kappa Lamda have been wonderful partners with the WCA this year! These two organizations have a mission of raising awareness around domestic violence, and what a great job their members and leaders have done. We were invited to participate in “Movember” (Alpha Kappa Lamda fraternity event – check out the amazing shave jobs members subjected themselves to in order to raise funds for us) and “Mr. Alpha Chi” (Alpha Chi Omega sorority event – check out photos of this great event where they not only selected Mr. Alpha Chi but raised money to support our services).
We are so grateful to both of these organizations for not only raising funds to support our work (over $12,000 between the two organizations!) but also raising awareness among their membership and on the BSU campus around the destructive nature of controlling and abusive relationships.
We look forward to ongoing relationships with both of these organizations as we work to create healthier communities on and off campus.
