E.W. Scripps owns four FM stations including 94.9 the River, and KIVI/ABC affiliate Six On Your Side in the Boise area, and reaches 20% of American households with local television and radio stations in markets across the country. They are also a large supporter of the WCA.
Dan McColly, Operations Manager described their involvement, “94.9 the River has supported the incredible work done by the WCA since the early 2000’s, and over the past several years has designated then as the beneficiary of our signature “Concert for Cause” event, now in its fifteenth year. Our part – producing a show with partners at the Knitting Factory and gathering auction items from our business partners is a simple task next to the WCA’s mission of safeguarding and helping to rebuild the lives of those who walk through their always-open doors. We’ve often thought it’s unfortunate that there is a need for organizations such as the WCA, but so long as there is, we’ll continue to be proud to support them in their efforts.”
