Corporate Pillar Spotlight: Saint Alphonsus Health System

24-Hour Domestic Violence Hotline: 208.343.7025 24-hour Rape Crisis Hotline: 208.345.7273 (RAPE)

Here at the WCA, we are so grateful for all of our amazing Corporate Pillars. Our work relies upon community support and having so many local businesses and organizations choose to join us on the road to providing safety, healing and freedom is remarkable.

One Corporate Pillar that amazes us is Saint Alphonsus Health System. Saint Alphonsus is there 24/7 serving the vulnerable and underserved. They save lives. Through collaboration with nurses, physicians, social workers, and others in the clinical environment, Saint Alphonsus provides a vital resource to free patients of domestic abuse and sexual assault situations. There are many programs at Saint Alphonsus that focus on emotional and mental health such as:

  • The CARE Maternal Health Clinic and Federal Way Clinic, which provide specialized healthcare and outreach to address the unique concerns – and traumatic histories – of refugee patients.
  • The Housing First Program, which is a partnership between Saint Alphonsus, the City of Boise, Ada County, St. Luke’s, Terry Reilly, and CATCH to address chronic homelessness in the Boise area.
  • Meals on Wheels, which provides nutritious meals to homebound individuals aged 60 and older.
  • The Mobile Health Care Clinic, which provides improved access to vital screenings and preventative health services for those that are in remote rural areas.

And many more…

During the Covid health crisis Saint Alphonsus Health System has been there front and center in communities throughout the Treasure Valley and beyond to help patients and their family members deal with life-threatening Covid-related illness. Saint Alphonsus has also been administering life-saving Covid vaccines to thousands of individuals.

We send our profound thanks to our wonderful Corporate Pillar Saint Alphonsus Health System for always being there for the WCA

Women’s Voices Book Club

WCA is proud to partner with Rediscovered Books to present the bi-monthly Women’s Voices Book Club. March’s pick is Outlawed by Anna North. While Westerns are not usually my genre of choice, this book absolutely was!!  In a unique mix reminiscent of A Handmaid’s Tale meets True Grit,  Outlawed was magnificent.  North’s “bad guy” gang of […]
