During an unprecedented press conference the Women’s and Children’s Alliance, Ada County Commissioners and Mayors of Boise, Eagle, Garden City, Meridian, Kuna and Star all officially declared October “Domestic Violence Awareness Month” (DVAM) Wednesday, September 28,2016. It was an incredibly touching event held at the Ada County Paramedics headquarters. Afterwards volunteers from the WCA and St. Al’s distributed boxed lunches and treats to first responders in the area as a way to express gratitude for all they do for people in situations of domestic violence. Community collaboration at its finest!
