Cody Hafer
Prevention Program Specialist

Cody is brand new to the WCA, joining the organization at the tail end of August.  He is the Prevention Program Specialist, supporting the Prevention Program. In his role, Cody helps facilitate the Youth REPs program, small groups, school and community presentations, and the Worth Project, among other tasks and duties of the prevention program. Formerly, Cody worked as a Community Outreach Educator at Planned Parenthood, facilitating their Teen Council Program and sexuality education program throughout the valley.  He was in this role for nearly 8 years before transitioning to the WCA.  Additionally, he has a B.A. in Social Work, and is a Boise State alum. Cody came to work at the WCA because of his commitment to prevention education, specifically in regards to domestic abuse and sexual assault.  He is passionate about the mission and vision of the WCA, and honored to be part of the work. For him, the most rewarding aspect of the position is working so closely with the Youth REPs.  Helping build the capacity and skills in young folks to spread knowledge, awareness, and resources is powerful and effective work! Looking forward, Cody is so excited to help expand the prevention program, and continue the legacy of the past few years.  Specifically, the Youth REPs program.  He is looking forward to learning, growing, and supporting the mission of the WCA, and cannot wait to see what the future holds!
