What do you do in your volunteer role at the WCA?
I provide legal advice every 4th Monday of each month to clients of the WCA.
How long have you been a volunteer?
I have been volunteering since October of 2012.
What do you find most rewarding about your work at the WCA?
It is rewarding to be able to help women who are going through difficult times understand their rights regarding divorce, custody and child support matters and to help them plan how to best move forward to reach their goals in those areas.
How have you changed or grown as a person through your work here?
It is humbling to hear the stories and difficulties the women I consult with have lived through and are dealing with on a daily basis. It is amazing how they are able to move forward with so much stress and such great hurdles to overcome. It is gratifying to know I am helping a little. Without the WCA these women would have nowhere to turn.
